Loving God and People

16 Jun 2009We’re nearly half-way through the year. How goes your “2009 New Years Resolutions?”
Thankfully, my back is not in pain any more. I need to sit straight and for shorter periods of time and my back is fine. If you have back pain, I strongly recommend a combination of chiropractic and physical therapy.
Through this time I’ve gained more weight… I’m at an embarrassing 105.4 kgs (232lbs) and I’m 185cm (6ft1in). My current Body Mass Index (BMI) is 30.1. I am obese, according to the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute.
I want to live healthier for the rest of my life without further physical complications. Especially, if I can prevent them. I’ve begun to eat less (paleolithic diet) and healthier.
My goal is to bring myself down to an ideal BMI to 24 or 82kgs (182lbs). I’ve haven’t weighed that much since I was in high school. I was much shorter and obese.
I’ve researched a lot of stuff:
-fatloss4idiots
-Paleo Diet – Live like a nomad
-Crossfit
-Truth About Abs
-I Want Six Pack Abs
My problem is that I can’t stick with a plan. What I’ve decided to this time is to make a bet with my wife- rather make a strong “pain” to motivate me. If I don’t work out every two days I owe her 100,000 won (approx. $100).
I hope to be either starting a separate blog about this or maybe I’ll post it here.
My plan is the following:
90% Eating Healthy and Less
10% Exercise
-I plan on Weight Training Monday, Wednesday, Friday in the mornings for 30-45mins
-Cardio Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday in the mornings for 30-45mins.
I need to take it slow and than work my way up. I want to be able to do Crossfit’s Work Out of the Day and maybe start posting times.
Anyway wish me luck. I hope I can stick to it this time.
God bless and Live with Passion – This is Tony Robbins’ tag line, but I think I’ll borrow it from him.
